About Keeppad

Keeppad is a notes app you speak to. Say "Hey Keep" and your note, and Keeppad writes it down, even with the app closed and the screen off.

Who makes it

Keeppad is made by Workbench Soft, a small software studio. The same people write the app, this site and its guides. Questions and bug reports go to the address on the Contact page.

Why it exists

A thought comes while your hands are busy: cooking, driving, carrying shopping. Opening an app, finding the right list and typing takes too long, and the thought is gone. Keeppad makes that one step: you say it, and it lands in the right group.

What it does

•
Hey Keep listens for its phrase on the phone, in the background, on Android.
•
Groups sort each note into To do, Shopping, Ideas, Work, Health and more, on the phone.
•
Recordings stay with each note on Android 13 and newer, so you can play back what you said.
•
Share by link lets another person open a note in the app or a browser. You both edit it live.
•
Two languages English and Russian, also both in one note.

What it doesn't do

•
No account. Notes live on your phone. Only a note you share also goes to Google Firebase.
•
No analytics. The app doesn't count what you do.
•
No selling of notes. Ads in the Android app pay for the work. The ad network gets no note, recording or sound. The privacy policy says what goes where.
